So the anime follows a different story line to the manga, because where season one leads up to its end, this introduces us to Alois and Claude, then the whole soul switching and Ciel becoming a demon ordeal and of course what you were thinking, where Sebastian went to eat Ciels soul. But for the most part, I know that the second half of season one and the whole of season two aren’t canon to the manga (anime original).

The Book of Circus ones are following the manga plotline which deviated from the anime (since the anime was produced more quickly than the manga) so these new episodes don't follow the story at all from the previous two seasons, except where the anime and manga overlap, like with certain characters. They don't really follow the storyline at all. He might come back later if he wants to eat some souls, but it's unlikely there will be an anime with that.įor the episodes that take place after, are you talking about the Wonderland episodes or all the new Book of Circus ones? The Wonderland and similar episodes are all OVA so there are parodies/behind the scenes/extra episodes. He and Sebastian went to the underworld (according to Black Butler wiki). After he became a demon and defeated Alois, there really wasn't any reason to stay there. He pretty much only did because he was looking for revenge for his parents, and then he had the whole story with Alois. I'm pretty sure they left the Phantomhive Estate because Ciel no longer has any reason to stay there.
